I booked a house sitter through Aussie House Sitters and it was really easy from start to finish. The site was simple to get around, the messaging worked well, and I liked being able to check out profiles and reviews before deciding who to go with.

It never felt confusing or like anyone was pushing me into anything, which I really appreciated. We sorted out the dates and details quickly and had everything confirmed without any stress. I’d definitely use it again.

I had a good experience with the messaging. Everything came through quick and clear, and the replies showed up fast, so I didn’t have to keep checking over and over. I guess that means the sitters are easy to reach, or at least it felt that way to me

We used Aussie House Sitters while we were away for two weeks and, yeah, came back to a really tidy house. The plants were still alive, the bins had been taken out, and the whole place just felt like it had been properly looked after.

it was such a relief. The sitter kept in touch just enough, but not in an over-the-top way, which was great. I’d definitely use it again for sure.

I’ve found a couple of really nice sitters on here, so yeah, it defintely works. The search and messaging parts feel a little old/clunky though, and a few profiles just never reply, which is kinda annoying. Overall it’s not bad, just wish it was a bit smoother for what you pay.

I really like the site, but the number of sits available in my area is painfully limited. I keep checking and hoping something pops up, but it feels like I’m searching for a unicorn sometimes. Such a bummer because the idea is great!

I was actually a bit surprised by how many sits seemed to be listed outside the main cities. I came across a decent number in regional NSW and a few in smaller towns too, not just the usual Sydney or Melbourne options. It makes planning trips around Australia a lot easier, at least from what I’ve seen so far. Overall, I’m happy with it.

I ended up having a good experience with the alerts. Instead of refreshing the site all the time, I’d just get a notification when something close to what I wanted came up. A few weren’t quite right for my dates, but most were useful enough to check. The best part was that I saw one quickly, replied right away, and got a really nice sit out of it. Definitely made the whole process easier.

Setup was easy, which was a relief because I really don’t have the patience to mess around with complicated instructions.

The site itself is fine, I guess, but the search really got on my nerves. I kept putting in the location and dates I wanted, then the results would still show places that didn’t match, which made me wonder if I was missing something or if the filters just weren’t sticking.
Using it on my phone felt kind of clunky too. I kept backing out, redoing the same search, getting distracted, then realizing I was looking at the wrong results again. Maybe it’s smoother on a laptop, I don’t know, but on mobile it ended up wasting more time than it should have. Not terrible, just annoying.

Aussie House Sitters is still decent for the price, but it feels like it used to be better. I remember there being more fresh listings and it felt a bit easier to find something worthwhile.

I did come across a couple of possible sits, so I wouldn’t say it was a waste of money. But there were also a few listings that seemed old or already sorted, which is frustrating once you’ve paid to use the site.

If you land one good sit, it probably pays for itself, but if you’re in a smaller area it can be hit and miss. Not terrible by any means, just not as good as I expected based on how it used to be.

I put our dates up and, i was expecting it to take ages because I’m not exactly patient with this stuff. But within a day we had loads of sitters messaging us. It made it really easy to pick someone local, and thankfully we didn’t have to mess around changing our holiday plans.

The sitters were really good and took care of my dog well. No fuss, no stress, just easy easy. My dog seemed happy when I got back, so I’m happy too

I liked that the member verification was easy to spot on profiles. It just made me feel a bit less like I was messaging random weirdos on the internet, which is nice when you’re new to house sitting. Simple feature, but it helps.

I’ve used Aussie House Sitters a couple of times now and felt safe both times. There’s just something about it that made the whole process feel a bit more relaxed, like being able to read profiles, check reviews and message people before deciding anything. I never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. We ended up finding a lovely sitter for our dog, and the house was exactly how we left it. I’d definitely use it again.

I’d say the site is easy enough to use. I didn’t really get lost or anything, and I could find most of what I needed without too much messing around. But yeah, some parts feel kind of old, and the messages area is a bit awkward to move through. It does the job, just feels a little rough around the edges and not as quick or clean as I was expecting
